Lucknow/Barabanki. Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) came alive on Saturday with the grand celebration of the Freshers’ Party ‘Harmony 2K25’, held under the theme “No Filter Needed – Real Madness Loaded.” The event provided a vibrant platform for new students to showcase their creativity, talent, and team spirit while building a strong sense of unity on campus.
The program began with a warm welcome, lamp lighting, and the university anthem. Chancellor Er. Pankaj Agarwal said, “Harmony is a memorable welcome ceremony for our new students. It not only highlights their talent but also makes them feel part of the SRMU family.”
Pro-Chancellor Er. Pooja Agarwal added that Harmony offers freshers an enthusiastic start and a chance to express themselves on a bigger stage.
🎖️ Titles & Awards
In the much-awaited fresher titles, Arun was crowned Mr. Fresher, while Hardita won Ms. Fresher.
In group performances, Group-14 (IDS Polytechnic Department) emerged as the winner, while Group-5 (Pharmacy Department) secured the runner-up position.
From dance and music to drama, fashion shows, and creative competitions, students lit up the stage with their outstanding performances. A play depicting the joys and challenges of college life won special appreciation.
The judging panel included Ms. Arushi Agarwal, Dr. Rajeev, Ms. Pallavi, Mr. Azam Khan, Mr. Shubham, Mr. Shum Trivedi, Ms. Kesar, Mr. Akhand Pratap Singh, Dr. Aadha Asim Hussain, Dr. Probir Sahoo, among others.
🎓 Organizing Team
The event was led by Fest Incharge & Head of Commerce & Economics, Dr. Veena Singh.
Organizing Secretary roles were taken up by Dr. Rohit Singh and Er. Anjali Singh. Co-Organizing Secretaries were Dr. Andleech Zehra and Anju Patel. The team also included Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Anupam Pal, Er. Abhishek Saxena, Aditi Mishra, Er. Manju Bhardwaj, Dr. Vimlesh Singh, Prashant Awasthi, Geetika Mitra, and Tushar Pandey, who contributed significantly to its success.
✨ Leadership Speaks
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. B. M. Dixit and Academic Advisor Arushi Agarwal said Harmony strengthens leadership qualities, confidence, and social bonding among students.
Registrar Prof. Dr. Neerja Jindal highlighted that the event is not just a celebration, but an effective way to integrate freshers into the university community.
The program concluded with a spectacular “Bits-the-Bits” performance followed by the Harmony 2K25 awards ceremony.
